He is the son of the late Dr. R.M Robertson and Chanie Robertson, a highly respected minister of the Gospel who served as the Moderator for New Life Community Church. Vernon M. Robertson was born in Dallas Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree, where he studied Radio-TV and Journalism. He earned a certificate degree from Southern Baptist Institute. He earned his Master Degree and Doctorate of Ministry from Living Word Bible College. His preaching ministry has carried across the United States, the Caribbean, and Africa.
Lady Denise Robertson serves as the Executive Administrator of New Life Community Church (NLCC) and Executive Director of New Life Learning Center. She also serves on the board of directors of Lakewood Community Development Corporation.
First Lady Denise Sanders Robertson has served alongside her husband Senior Pastor V.M Robertson, since their marriage in 1994. She supports leadership and teaches with energy and compassion to stir the heart of congregations. Her work is to complement the ministry of her husband. They are the founders of Hold Your Hope Ministries, a service-based ministry that promotes the business of clergy and religious workers, and Girl Talk, which is an outlet to mentor and encourage young ladies.
